Steps to calculate standard deviation in Excel
- Step 1: In a blank cell, type the formula
=STDEV(range)where range is the group of numbers you want to analyze.
(Example:=STDEV(A2:A10)) - Step 2: Press

Result: Excel will return the standard deviation of the selected range, showing how much the values deviate from the average.
