Steps to change line spacing in Word

• Option 1: Use the Design Tab
  
  • Step 1: Go to the Design tab on the ribbon.
  • Step 2: Click on Paragraph Spacing.
  • Step 3: Choose one of the preset spacing styles like Compact, Relaxed, Double, etc
• Option 2: Use the Home Tab for More Control
  • Step 1: Hightlight the text you want to change.
  • Step 2: On the ribbon, click Home tab.
  • Step 3: In the Paragraph group, click the Line and Paragraph Spacing icon.
  • Step 4: From the dropdown menu, select Line Spacing Options... at the bottom.
  • Step 5: In the popup window:
    • Under Line spacing, choose your preferred spacing: Single, 1.5 lines, Double, At least, Exactly, or Multiple.
    • You can also adjust Before and After spacing to control space before and after paragraphs.
  • Step 6: To apply this setting to all future documents, click Set As Default.
  • Step 7: Select All documents based on the Normal template? and hit OK.
