Steps to convert numbers to words in Excel

Step 1: In a blank cell, type the formula =SPELLNUMBER( and choose the cell containing the number.
Step 2: After the cell reference, type , 0 to specify the formatting option.
Step 3: Close the parenthesis and press Enter to apply the formula.
(Example: =SPELLNUMBER(A1, 0))

Result: Excel will return the number in written words (e.g., One Hundred Twenty-Three).

Tip: SPELLNUMBER is a custom function and may not be available by default—you might need to add a VBA script to enable it.
