Steps to lock your profile on Facebook

• Step 1: Open Facebook, then click on the three lines in the top right corner.
• Step 2: Go to Settings & Privacy and choose Settings. Scroll down, and under Audience and Visibility, select Followers and Public Content. Change Who can see your followers on your timeline to Friends. Do the same for Public post comments and Public post notifications.
• Step 3: Go back, then choose Profile and Tagging. Change Who can post on your profile to Only me, scroll down, and turn on Review tags people add to your post before the tags appear on Facebook.
• Step 4: Go back again, go to Profile Locking, select Lock Your Profile, and click OK.

Result: Your Facebook profile will be locked, restricting what people who aren’t your friends can see or interact with on your profile.

Tip: After locking your profile, it's still good to review your privacy settings regularly in case Facebook updates its features.
