Steps to mute in Zoom

Step 1: Select New Meeting to start a meeting.
Step 2: Click the small arrow next to the Microphone icon, then choose Audio Settings.
Step 3: Check the box for Mute my microphone when joining a meeting.

Result: Your microphone will automatically be muted when you join a meeting.

Tip: This setting is useful if you prefer to join meetings without causing any background noise.
