Steps to Recover Unsaved Word Documents

Option 1

• Step 1: Open Word and click the File tab
• Step 2: Select Info, then click Manage Document and choose Recover Unsaved Documents
• Step 3: Choose the file you need, then open it

Tip: This method is quick if Word crashed or closed unexpectedly.

Option 2

• Step 1: Click the File tab, select Options, then go to Save and copy the AutoRecover file location
• Step 2: Open This PC, paste the location into the address bar, and find the unsaved file. Right click and select Copy
• Step 3: Go back to Word, click File, then Open, and select Recover Unsaved Documents
• Step 4: Paste and open the file

Tip: Option 2 is useful when the document doesn't appear directly in the recovery list.
