Steps to remove the first 4 characters in Excel

Step 1: In a blank cell, type the formula =RIGHT(cell, LEN(cell) - 4)
(Example: =RIGHT(A1, LEN(A1) - 4))
Step 2: Press Enter to apply the formula.

Result: Excel returns the text string excluding the first 4 characters.

Tip: Adjust the number 4 to remove a different number of characters from the beginning.
