Steps to separate first and last names in Excel

• Step 1: Select the range of cells that contain the full names you want to split.
• Step 2: Go to the Data tab, then under the Data Tools group, click Text to Columns.
• Step 3: In the wizard, click Next, then choose Space or Comma as the delimiter, and click Next again.
• Step 4: Under Destination, select the cell where you want the separated data to appear, then click Finish.

Result: Excel will split the full names into separate columns for first and last names.

Tip: Make sure there are enough empty columns to the right of your selection to avoid overwriting existing data.
