Steps to Sort Data by a Column in Excel

• Step 1: Click anywhere in the column you want to sort (no need to highlight the entire column).
• Step 2: Go to the Home tab, and in the Editing group, click Sort & Filter. Then choose one of the options: Sort A to Z (ascending), Sort Z to A (descending), or click Custom Sort for more advanced sorting.

Final Result: Your data is sorted based on the selected column while keeping all rows intact.

Tip: Make sure there are no completely blank rows within your data set, as this can interrupt the sorting range.
