Steps to Sort Data in Excel by Color

• Step 1: Go to the Insert tab and click Table to convert your data into an Excel Table (this makes color sorting more reliable).
• Step 2: For a single color sort, click the filter dropdown on the desired column, choose Sort by Color, and select the color you want to sort by.
• Step 3: For multiple color levels, go to the Data tab, and in the Sort & Filter group, click Sort.
• Step 4: In the dialog box, choose the column, then under Sort On, select Cell Color. Pick the first color to sort, then click Add Level to add more colors in order.
